How can I find out if my ex husband sold my identity?
I met a mexican national in 1996, fell in love with him and married him in 2000. We had two children together. In 2006 our marriage fell apart and I began to realize he was not the person I thought he was. As I apply for credit and bank accounts I keep coming across information that someone has used my identity to open credit including a possible $2000 plus per month mortgage. I think my ex husband sold my identity to illegal immigrants for work purposes. I asked my ex about it and of course he denied it. How can I go about finding out if someone has stolen my identity and what can I do about it?
By the way… my ex is now living in Mexico and the kids and I have no contact with him. Is there a way to have him brought back into the US for possible prosecution?
I have full custody of my children. My ex never contacts them.
